About Me
When most people were planning their families, starting their career and thinking about a mortgage...my plan was to help others, even if it meant giving up all those things. Volunteering became my passion and I would always find a way to make it work. Since 2010 I've travelled the globe and have had some amazing volunteer experiences ... and a life I'm proud of. My name is Candice Restrick and I have devoted the past decade to volunteering. Everything from working with children, teaching English, managing sanctuaries, conservation, working with animals hands on, hands off and from afar. I guess you could say I'm a giver and would love to give you tips and truths on volunteering.
My background stems from years in the hospitality industry and professional childcare. How did I end up with such amazing opportunities? A dream, a plan and a passion. If you do what you love and give up so much, things do fall in place.
